It makes you wonder how she made it through that summer after she sent Angel to Hell.
In her own hell, as it all looks like. I think that Buffy "visiting" hell to save people was pretty much metaphorical. The won the battle, she managed to get out of the hell, to keep her "real me", to overpower weakness and doom. She crawls out of that hell via the pool and... err... crawls out of the hell of her own. That's why she leaves for Sunnydale. If Lily never came by, who knows how long it could take for Buffy to make this decision.

My DVD collection is probably going to wear out from repeated viewings
I know what you are talking about!

When she starts sobbing and says she can't breathe, it feels like Angel's leaving me. It's a testament to SMG's talent that she can make you feel so much for her character.
Yeah, Sarah is amazing! I think she mentioned in some interview that she cried for 25 minutes and couldn't stop, because she didn't want Angel to leave Buffy. And in her interview for EW in 2003, after BtVS was closed, SMG said that Buffy's real love was Angel. Darn, Joss! *brushes the tear off*

but I would also add the dream sequence in "Faith, Hope and Trick" when Buffy and Angel are dancing together and her Claddagh ring falls to the floor. When Angel picks the ring up and clutches it causing blood to flow from his fist...it seems so symbolic of their relationship being torn apart in the previous season.
Oh yeah! I totally forgot about that dream! Shame on me, Touched has a page with B/A dreams review! *slaps herself* I like the song that is playing there, its Third Eye Blind's "The Background". And the lyrics just fit the moment! "Everything is quiet since you're not around and I live in the numbness now in the background". Yeah, SO fitting.

Another favorite is "Revelations". The scene where Buffy and Angel were doing tai chi was intense and in this episode they finally expressed the feelings they had been trying to repress.
Did you read the original script on the s3 DVD? The scene there is a little different; Sarah and David played it in their own way. And that "smell me" quote. I wonder what actually Angel could smell...

How about "Wild Horses" by the Sundays? I'll never be able to listen to that song without thinking of Buffy and Angel's last dance.
I LOVE it! I think I read somewhere that originally this song was sang by some other band in 1970-s. But The Sundays sound great for sure! As for B/A last dance, I think this moment could fit very well Sarah McLachlan's song "Last Dance" from her album "Surfacing" (1997). There are no lyrics in this song, but it sounds awesome. I highly recommend it!

That's very true. When Buffy was sucked into that "Hell" with Lily, she was forced to fight and remember who she was. I loved it when the guards were asking everyone to acknowledge they were "no one" and Buffy looks up and says, "I'm Buffy. The Vampire Slayer. And you are...?"

LOL, I bet it wasn't just her perfume! Oh the naughty thoughts...
It was a great moment. It almost made me forget how mad I was at Buffy in "Homecoming". Angel's weak, fresh out of Hell where Buffy sent him, and she decides that it's the perfect time to tell him she's dating someone else and he's a nice, solid guy...someone she can count on. Grr.

Yeah, it was originally done by the Rolling Stones. Their version is very different but also quite good.

I haven't listened to that CD in a while and it's been too long. Doesn't it seem like most of Sarah McLachlan's songs could have been written just for B/A? Even for the darker moments of their relationship it works. I always think of "Possession" when Angelus is stalking Buffy in S2. _________________ I loved him (Angel) more than I will ever love anything in this life.-Buffy "Selfless"

I was thinking about the same thing too, i know she didnt wrote these songs for the show but man her songs fit to the show perfectly. She's so talented
